Terms of Sale

These terms apply to purchases from Rich Dogue (“we”, “us”) on richdogue.com. By placing an order, you agree to them. Our Returns Policy and Shipping & FAQ page form part of these terms. If anything here appears to differ from those pages, the Returns Policy and Shipping & FAQ page govern.

Our products

Every piece is handcrafted from natural leathers: exotic crocodile, ostrich and water snake, and goatskin. Natural skin varies in pattern, scale, texture and tone, so every collar is one of a kind and may differ slightly from the photos. These natural variations are part of the character of the piece and are not defects. Screen settings can also affect how colors appear. Measurements are given on each product page and in our Care & Sizing guide. Please measure your dog before ordering, and email us if you are between sizes. Tracker collars hold an Apple AirTag, which is not included.

Prices and errors

Prices are in US dollars. Applicable sales tax is calculated and shown at checkout before you pay. We work hard to keep prices, descriptions and availability accurate, but mistakes can happen, and many pieces exist in quantities of one. If an item is priced or described incorrectly, or turns out to be unavailable, we may cancel the order and give you a full refund, or contact you to ask how you would like to proceed. We may correct errors and update prices at any time, but a change will not affect an order we have already confirmed, except as described here.

Orders and payment

Payment is processed securely by Stripe. Your order is confirmed when payment is completed and Stripe emails you a receipt. We may decline or cancel an order, with a full refund, if we suspect fraud, cannot verify payment, or cannot ship to the address given. Promotion codes are valid only on their stated terms, cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be applied to past orders.

Shipping (United States only)

We ship only to addresses in the United States. Delivery is complimentary on every order, insured, via USPS Ground Advantage (2 to 5 business days). USPS Priority Mail Express (1 to 2 business days) is available for $35. Orders are usually processed within 24 to 48 hours, and weekend and holiday orders ship the following business day. A signature is required on delivery for orders over $250. You will receive tracking by email once your order ships. Delivery times are estimates from the carrier and are not guaranteed. If an order cannot ship within the time we have told you, we will let you know and offer you the choice of waiting or cancelling for a full refund. Full details are on our Shipping & FAQ page.

Returns and exchanges

Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days for items that are unused, unworn and unaltered, in their original packaging. A 25% restocking fee applies. Return shipping is paid by the customer, unless we sent an incorrect or damaged item. Please email [email protected] for a Return Authorization number before sending anything back. Care and safe use

Please follow our care guide, check the fit, buckle and D-ring regularly, and supervise your dog while it wears a collar, harness or leash. Remove any piece that is damaged or worn.

Website content

The photographs, designs, text and logos on this site belong to Rich Dogue or are used under licence. Please do not copy or use them commercially without our written permission. Sharing links and pins to our pages is always welcome.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rich Dogue is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your purchase or use of our products or this site, and our total liability for any claim relating to an order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived, or limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If a dispute arises, please email us first. Most concerns can be resolved quickly and directly.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time by posting a new version on this page with a new effective date. The terms in effect when you place an order apply to that order.
